Creation

All of creation is a kind of vibration or memory. Memory develops the moment consciousness converts into a manifested phenomenon expressed as a force and matter. Hence the manifestation of consciousness into matter is not a neutral event (as portrayed in astrophysics) but perhaps also has an element of perception/conception – or memory. The form responds to other forms and this response itself may be called memory (for us  - as phenomenon of a particular scale). To operate at a particular frequency or vibration means to appear as a particular form and also to perceive cosmos in particular ways. Human being is a vibration/impression or a memory of a particular kind. This particular frequency then responds to surrounding environment - so we catch signals and we send back signals too. This is done by each and every kind of a phenomenon; hence whatever happens at all levels of scale has an effect on our thinking and vice versa. These signals can make us take other life forms, other phenomena or take on other characteristics – our mind is malleable to that extent. When I perceive a tree or a mountain or an ant or a star or a cloud or water – these are all phenomena – just different with respect to points in space-time. But all these remain interdependent and interconnected of course.

Thinking more at a human ‘scale’ (or the vibration we associate as human being), we are acutely aware of the impression of the force of our mind (fluidity of thoughts/ movement of thoughts and the construct of identity). Choice lies in managing the fluidity of thoughts and focusing on particular vibrations that yield appropriate outcomes. Since we are born as human beings, we perceive situations in particularly human ways. And then the whole notion of identity, engagement, clinging, ego, emotions, feelings, intellect gets played out for us, wherein we consider our thinking as being very true! This is what we believe or are made to believe. If we dissect the units of thoughts, we reach a point where a thought is there and need not be there. Which means, we are there and need not be there as a phenomenon. We are compelled to respond, hence there are thoughts and therefore we sense our existence. Where does this urge of response come from? Where does it begin? How does it lead to generate sequence of thoughts that change at such a rate that a fairly stable notion of ‘I’ is created?

Why does consciousness ‘forget’ its own nature? Forgetting its transcendental quality means to convert itself into a bounded matter and an interconnected phenomenon and generate a memory or to keep vibrating at a particular frequency to remain engaged with everything else. We wouldn’t have been living, if we knew that memory is a particular construct! Going beyond memory or a particular vibration, means to go beyond the manifestation caused by space-time events and reaching consciousness. This is not a destination. It is a state of vibration. This is present at any given instant at all scales. It is just that we need to realize the state.

Consciousness/space is not inert and it converts into force and then matter – this is done by basic tendency of wave to concert into particle and then bearing any set of properties. These properties of wave and particle lead to different binding systems, different connections and therefore different phenomena and forms.

So where is the need to prove anything and to whom?

Perception

What does one mean to convert an experience into an architectural one?

I find my bedroom comfortable in winter, but not in summer.

Bedroom indicates some scale and proportion of space. The question is how do I realize that it is a bedroom? This deals with the experience of how perception works for a human mind and by analysis or observation (both terms being inclusive) one realizes that the perception depends on ALL known senses, nervous system, brain power and our mind (social constructs). In our daily experience that means a ‘space’ is NOT JUST visual, but also tactile, olfactory, acoustic, gustatory. Logically this means that Space gets perceived depending on the quality or the nature of our senses. Same space may mean different things to different life forms. In above sentence, a particular mixture of external stimuli (air, temperature, light, colours, odour, sound) and its interpretation by ‘myself’ gives the space a definition of a ‘bedroom’.

How does space become ‘comfortable’ to someone or to a human being? Is the sense of comfort a universal feeling or is it contextual? Does it depend on space-time phenomenon or not?

Enlightened Souls mention that the idea of ‘comfort’ is a universal idea (existing in all people) and a particular arrangement of external stimuli can assist in generating that feeling. Now the challenge is in discovering this arrangement in a given situation! Architectural response to this feeling includes connections to outside environment by strategic arrangement of elements to filter external stimuli in appropriate doses, reverence to values of climate and construction processes, multiuse of spaces, a feeling of community that the space may assist in generating, a process of self doing, self maintaining and sharing. Architectural processes that somehow include these factors may develop feelings of comfort in us. This feeling can also be generated in form of language, expressions, art, any given technology. So feelings and ‘us’ are not separate, rather they exist with us.

The above knowledge also includes the importance of local/traditional wisdom of perceiving connections of environment with us and the appropriate response to create a built environment. Several books such as ‘A Pattern Language’, ‘Timeless way of Building’, ‘House, Form and Culture’, ‘Contemporary Treatise in Architecture’, ‘Architecture without Architects’ express this wisdom.

On earth, there are several situations and several ways of perceiving those situations and creating habitats – ALL are valid. It is upto us to acknowledge them, to give them a chance to continue nourishing and enriching other value systems. If not done so, other parallel value systems will be lost forever and what will remain is an extremely flat way of perceiving a situation – in fact, that means no collective memory of humanity at all (since memory means continuation of different processes and changes), equivalent to psychological/cultural murder!

Contradiction

Life can seem as a kind of contradiction – if analyzed or dissected. Analysis or dissection can uncover several changing variables – that may compel one to control them at whatever costs. More minute the dissection, more variables that change at a rapid rate, thus necessitating even more control! The cycle continuous to a point where one sees that variables, by themselves, depend on the nature of thought! Variables are seen, only if, there is thought! Else, there are no variables in a situation!! What does this mean in our daily experience?

1.       Experience means we are thinking – perceiving and conceiving responses – hence generate thoughts and hence can see variables – which in turn may compel us to “control” them, hence the above cycle.

2.       We are led to a point where each moment of time is sliced to consist of billion variables that remain forever fluid – a very anxious, stressful world.

3.       If ‘we’ create variables, then the question turns towards ‘who’ is this ‘we’? And why do we create variables? This is a question that remains a lifelong journey.

4.       The answer to (3) will start to modify the approach towards the tendency of looking at variables and even creating them.

5.       The above point means that we should realize by our own analysis, that ‘we’ are constructs of a particular phenomenon of space-force-matter. This phenomenon generates a mind (thoughts/impressions/memory/character/space-time perception) and a body. Thought is imagination of our existence, wherein we cling on account of the tendency of consciousness to vibrate and express itself in many ways - such as a typical human form. We vibrate and we perceive situations based on our own nature of thought. We imagine that everything else is different from us and therefore we respond to them (or react) never even once questioning the intent of our own creations.

6.       This should lead us to reconsider our approach. Our identity does not depend on variables and our need to control them. Our identity does not depend on the meaning we construct of this world and what we achieve – since everything boils down to vibration of consciousness. We are only conduits of this ‘play’ that the consciousness has set out for Itself. And through one such conduit (which is ‘us’), the behavior and the nature of consciousness can be realized.

7.       Then comes the importance of forgiveness, gratitude and compassion – which can lead us to consciousness. The realization of point (6) develops an attitude of universal compassion since we no longer choose to identify with any of the forms of manifestation and their constructed effects on our minds. All these were incidental, hence there was no need to take these forms or their perceptions personally!

8.       Hence, one only needs to be engaged or one should keep vibrating to express the tendency of consciousness. It is nothing personal and hence feelings of anger, fear, sadness etc were unwarranted.

9.       Despite knowing this, one may get stressed, confused, annoyed, sad, etc. These feelings will continue to happen. But one must remember that they are waves, so they will come and they will go. We need not cling to them since we are ‘not’ them. What we made of, is something beyond the manifested world. This ‘something’ creates an illusion/ play/ involvement/ commitment/ engagement with life for us. So accept it, embrace it and love it. Whatever has come for you, is from consciousness itself, whatever you do, will be offered to consciousness again.

Tendency

Tendency of age, gender, character can’t be controlled. In other words, there is an expression of imagination/ memory one creates for oneself. This expression is fluid and keeps us interdependent on all phenomena present in the world. We see the cosmos as an expression of self. If the self changes, the form of the universe (and its meaning therefore) will change for us.

In other words, the real structure of the ‘form’ (what we “see”) is not separate from the meaning we impose on it (i.e. what we prefer or tend to see). Our preference is how we remain engaged in expressing our own existence as human beings – hence preference is vibration/memory/time. This will mean, that there is impression/ memory all around us – but of course in different intensities/ nature/ forms.

So the only actor who is present everywhere is consciousness – all others are Its own forms! We not only see these forms different, but they are perceived and responded by us according to our state of mind (imagination). We may also dwell on cosmic scale or quantum scale – whatever we may do, we are vibrating with the cosmos.

The consciousness manifests itself as different phenomena at various scales of space and time. These phenomena remain interdependent and changing. Each phenomenon can be said to be a vibration/impression/memory of sorts. It thinks for itself. If we so develop ourselves, we can become an ant or a tree or a mountain. The human being has a special kind of vibration – one in which, the nature of vibration may be altered based on one’s will. The decision to do so, has been bestowed by the human being phenomenon itself. At a given point of space-time, we see and respond to the external world in ways that are peculiarly human and hence we construct imagination that includes the intellect and feelings. That’s the way we respond.

But what is the real nature of consciousness? The reference is of ‘Vishwarupa Darshan’ mentioned in Bhagwat Gita. The imagination is of a multiple headed figure, which can engulf many worlds, can create many worlds, where all people die and all people originate (same with other life forms) and where fire, water, air, space, earth all move in motions. It expresses interdependent scales of space-time phenomena.

The vision of such an expansive wisdom has been encoded in Bhagwat Gita. Mahabharat is a background to illustrate this vision. Arjuna’s situation and Krishna’s commentary are incidental. Regardless of situation, the reality can be grasped by whoever makes an attempt to do so. Else, we continue to live in a world, where majority of our energy gets spent in responding to self created devils of the mind!

Of course, there is no need to curse oneself on this. It is a part of our tendency. Feelings and intellect will exist and compel one to respond. That’s a given. What one may try to do is to ‘focus’ on what should really matter and concentrate only on that fundamental thing.

Reminder

I think that reminding oneself about the unity in all – as a consciousness – no matter how much difficult the experience and the idea feels like – is very important. Whatever one remembers, one makes a connection of thoughts in that way, one analyses and decodes the thought in that matter, and one starts to become aware, accept, analyze, conceptualize and take action accordingly.  So, the idea of consciousness, although I may not have experienced it – can work as a prayer.

This we can experience it every minute. I see my father and mother with many maladies and responses that can probably cause stress in a normal routine. And there are people who continue to be angry, forgetful, cause unnecessary burden and what not. Seems that nothing remains in one’s control!

The question is – should you fret on these things? Should you ignore? Both responses have limitations. The responses are limited in space and time – hence are subject to human evaluation of others and self. Whatever one might try to do in order to salvage the situation – one can’t be perfect and may stand dejected. One should watch these tendencies, since they indicate a compulsion to control and expect perfection in return. None of this is guaranteed. And the entity seeking guarantee is Fear getting expressed as units of thoughts and sequences arising thereof. This is a form of ‘engagement’ – a vibration called mind-body phenomenon getting generated through consciousness – that IS the source of ALL space-time-causation – perception phenomenon.

We must believe, that in whatever way we catch ‘signals’ through our senses that perceive the manifested environment (a form of a Universe) – is a result of consciousness in which, we also express a particular ‘form’ (as a product), a particular imagination (as a process) and a particular tendency of expression (consciousness-mind-body: and therefore rebirths). This means, depending on our ability and decision (direction of force/thought), we will either go towards the quantum world or cosmic world. These are all interrelated. What happens in any of the scales of phenomenon, we are affected right now. We can create feelings, intellect, memories, or none of these things. We can either remain angry or become peaceful.

The engagement is upto ‘us’. This can be seen as a journey in itself – either to expansion or contraction. We inherit certain momentum from past impressions (past lives/ past memories) and based on this momentum, we start to create impressions or memories or the nature of engagement. Subsequently we build our character and the perception of life. Somewhere, at some point of life, we may develop an awareness of what seems to be going around. This then lays responsibility on the self to decide the nature of thought – and this becomes the biggest learning for us. The imagination or the nature of experience is so strong, the pull towards manifestation is so strong, that it takes years, probably many successive impressions (successive lives) to grasp the real nature of vibrations coming from consciousness. Since we embark on the journey to transcend our own imagination, the journey feels too dangerous – and of course it is, since we have no clue as to what we might be getting into. Yet, the spiritual journey is required, to stay grounded and centred.

Next time you become irritated – take a pause and observe your own thoughts – they are formed through the phenomenon of body and mind – imagined with respect to survival, time, expectations, perfections, fear and what not! These are all our own constructs – we are yet to “see” the consciousness and hence treat everything unrelated to us and therefore a source of challenge. Should this really happen? Consciousness takes billions forms of expressions – ours being just one of them. With expression, comes perception/imagination/memory. With perception comes our engagement and the compulsion to respond. Thus, although it might appear true that you feel angry about something, the feeling has a limitation and has been constructed by incomplete knowledge of ‘self’.

Try to get the complete knowledge…

Forgiving

Think everyday regarding what one is doing. Observe. Listen. Pause. Give. Commit. Express. This is to be done every day. The slate of impression has to be created and wiped clean at the end of each day.

People forget things – willingly or unwillingly. They blame others, cite difficulties and excuses and sublet responsibilities. Why do people get angry and blame others? Why do we keep getting entangled in what was being said and in what way? Why so we give this concept so much importance? Remember that it is we who give words or expressions so much importance and construct notions of value and identity with it. It is a given. Consciousness, forgets (or perhaps chooses to forget) its own potential and considers itself as a manifested phenomenon of force and matter( expressing “memory” or identity). In fact, the boundless consciousness sets up a boundary or a fluid position and takes on a form and memory and becomes interconnected to other forms as a ‘conduit’ or some kind of a drop in the ocean of consciousness. After taking form, it decides to go back to its own nature of boundless entity. So this journey or transformation from zero vibration to some vibration/ impression/memory/form and back to zero vibration is continuous. This  is the fundamental quality of vibration – changing from space to force to matter, the rate of which differs according to scale of phenomenon and the nature of phenomenon.

This brings us back to the question of the nature of engagement and the nature of “memory” for us. What do we mean by memory – is it only for survival or is it for knowing consciousness? Is it to live in a bounded situation harbouring anger, greed, fear, anxiety, low esteem, perfection, baggage, guilt, jealousy etc…? All these are interconnected with ego or too narrow a mind. This means that anger is generated by us – not the situation. And if we identify with this seed called anger, we will fuel anger everywhere and we will get anger everywhere in return. What signals we imagine in our mind, we send it to the cosmos (outside) and we connect with only those signals from cosmos. Simple.

Hence, if we try and send signals of love, compassion, trust, unlimited potential to cosmos, we will get the same signals from it - as the cosmos and us are not different. The difference is only apparent – like an illusion. Hence, the control of life is in our hands.

The approach to life is about pure expression of our own phenomenon that remains interconnected with the entire cosmos. So letting go of countless variables of perfection and irritants is required. It doesn’t matter what one has said and in what ways. It doesn’t matter that one is fast to prove a point. It doesn’t matter in what culture, time , form, colour one is born. It doesn’t matter what one  has inherited as a situation. It doesn’t matter what strengths and weaknesses one has. It doesn’t matter what people think (about you). It doesn’t matter that money remains limited to give or share.

What matters is the ability to forgive, thank, pause, empathize and love. That’s all that is required for a peaceful life.

Intent

All of creation that we perceive around us – is a matter of ‘intent’. Consciousness’s default intent is to manifest into billions of forms. The story doesn’t end there however. The forms that get manifested aren’t static at all – they also interact with each other and they change their set of properties too. They disengage in a particular stage of their lives and maybe transform into something else or dissolve into consciousness again. In what way do they interact externally and internally at any particular stage of their lives? By their own set of imaginations – or the way in which the universal phenomenon of space-force-matter is expressed. It is so fundamental a property – that consciousness vibrates to “reappear” as space-time (or as force and matter – all interrelated). All exists as pure vibrations – one may realize the consciousness behind all external forms or one may get entangled in the forms themselves. “We” are also “forms” manifested from that singular consciousness that expresses itself as “mind” (force) and “body” (matter). This means that we keep changing irrespective of any kind of an external trigger, since it is the property of consciousness that has been manifested through “us”. So, why insist on control and what is to be controlled anyway?

Speaking in terms of our mind, we have inherited a property of perceiving these external forms and choosing intent of responding to these forms. What is the manner in which we wish to interact with existence? What do forms tell us? Are they really threatening or do they express love? So any form, by itself, doesn’t’ have any absolute static meaning – we induce meaning to a given form, since that is the way we are interconnected. So, as an extension, we have the ability to imagine anything and with this imagination, we see the entire universe and the infinitesimal world. Signals from consciousness are manifested as “changing forms” and we perceive these forms based on our defined intent. Through the action of perception, we choose to act and send our signals back to consciousness. In short, we operate as a medium or a plug or a conduit in the overall fabric of consciousness.

The above may seem abstract, but this state of experience is achievable. Of all the intents that we can imagine and act; “Love/ nourishment/ sharing” is the biggest intent that requires our nurturing and our commitment. By being involved in this intent, we send these signals to cosmos and we start to receive everything in that form itself. Can we see this statement in detail?...

Thought is a vibration and our choice to remain engaged with the world of manifestation. Thought comprises as feelings and intellect – these are the ways we engage with the world. It is required from us, to expand our perception and conception (imagination) to realize consciousness through the visible forms. This is done through meditation (mindfulness/ detachment/ disengagement and to see the vibrations without labeling anything about it). It should also continue in what we decide to do and act (duty/ non attachment/ universal values/ people/ commitment/ sharing/ community/ oneness and so on). By thinking and acting, we exercise that intent and it slowly takes us towards consciousness.

A snake bites us and can kill us or in the very least paralyze us. Should we be angry or sad that it has done so? For what? I read in one of the articles by Swami Vivekananda, that a Yogi is a person who can “see” that the snake biting him is a kind of a signal coming from consciousness, so why should he reject it or oppose it? It was a kind of a vibration. He getting paralyzed and again recovering from that event, was also a given – an act of consciousness. So, in this case, is the snake and the Yogi as entities, different? Secondly, the ability of the Yogi to “see” consciousness through the snake indicates his understanding of phenomenon and his infinite love (expansion of the mind).
