Nature and Beyond

There are ways to “remember” things. Our entire being, called as phenomenon, is an expression of memory. The question is – what do you intend to remember?

Nature has its grip on us, because that is what we wish to remember – change, fluidity, insecurity, expectation, control, fear, mortal love, hoarding, contradictions, dilemmas and so on. Why does this happen? It happens because of vibrations in consciousness and its apparent expression as some form of manifestation. The vibrations, in our case, build up to express as “thoughts” that are informed by the phenomenon of existence – which is much, much more than the immediate mind, immediate body and it does encompass all bodily processes, mental processes, past momentum and the current tendency of flow of force. One needs to have patience to understand these processes.

Till we understand this, we are caught in remembering our dimension as only a “body” – that requires to enjoy and survive and is hounded day and night by thoughts about lifelong security.

If we develop the capacity to analyze these forces, we reach the mental level of imagination and the questions concerning the need to survive, the nature of change and vibrations and what that means in terms of manifestations. Herein, we are acutely aware of our inability (and weird expectations) to control things or forces and we begin to give up the idea of phenomenon itself – this marks the beginning of religious attitude.

The next level (and maybe the last) will be a transcendence of all such questions and to become consciousness. The “giving up” is not the same as surrendering or accepting defeat in anyway – since these words are also a part of imagination. It is the understanding the “struggle” of forces to achieve peaceful state of existence. It is NOT about suppressing the forces but to realize a dimension wherein these forces become an outcome and which do not define us in any way. Forces change and that creates time and space and Nature. As long as we choose to remember these forces, we will manifest time and again with some perceived set of conditions (situations) and we will continue to respond based on our belief of mind-body. This universe will go on eternally as motion.

The question is – are you done with this business of motion or do you wish to continue this illusion of motion? You have to ask yourself daily this question of manifestation – who are you and if you are motion (as a dimension of existence), then what expectation should you set here on this journey? All things about form and forces and attitudes and feelings and intellect and pressures and expectations and people and love and hatred and greed and empathy and help and denial – all of it are forces that continue to keep the world alive. There is no real value in this, since all are expressions of a continuous vibrations and which we cling to by some unknown belief in fear.

So any kind of imagination pertaining to perfect life or perfect character or perfect people or situation is only that – an imagination. Nothing is actually taking place “out there” and this lesson we must learn and accept and understand.

In order to help us learn this reality, we must make “God” (as a phenomenon) THE focus of all that we do – from thoughts to love to meditation to action. This means in the most basic way – DO NOT work with an ulterior motive. Any motive based on any concept of manifestation is ulterior. One is only required to not be bound by Nature – do it or realize it through Love or Work or Intellect or Concentration. The dimensions of our entire being should not be based on any limited manifested concept.

Freedom

Any state of position or a point is good enough to remind one about freedom and renounce everything.

This is so because a point is fluid and keeps changing as a dimension of consciousness. A point remains in motion and this means that the “situation” keeps changing. The change is on account of vibration – from consciousness to a state of manifestation. Are these two states ‘different’ cannot be ascertained – they may be one and the same thing but looked at from different perspectives. To a person who becomes motionless, there is no hint of manifestation and vice versa. The nature of manifestation is motion and from motion, there is differentiation or classification in terms of Name and Form. All are obviously manufactured from consciousness or they may be regarded as ‘reflection’ of consciousness but in a different “form”. A form that is only potential is realized as One or Consciousness. The form that vibrates has force and matter and that is called motion or manifestation and is felt as such. Why motion is felt is not known – it is felt and hence the question of why arises. Both, the consciousness and manifestation exist eternally and they keep interchanging. Because there is consciousness, so there is manifestation and vice versa. Which one is the start cannot be ascertained, although principally the state of non motion has everything within It and hence may be regarded as the Principal State.

In motion, however, the inclination of freedom remains (from where it was born), and hence one can strive to attain a state of Bliss. Thus existence can be regarded as ONE UNIT - you can either feel as motionless state or a state of motion.

Architecture

Nowadays there is a lot of talk or verbosity regarding architectural phenomenon and what it means and how it does and what seems to be its purpose. Whatever…!

Architecture is motion – either towards individualism or towards experience of liberation. The physical form of architecture projects the intent of the designer and perhaps guides the experience of the user. The highest experience of architecture (or of space-time) is of transcendence or of universal connect, where all mental boundaries about self, you, me, family, people, climate, culture, environment melt into one another. They melt, means they weren’t separate in the first place! This means that ‘we’ aren’t separate in the first place. The tree I see, or the elephant I ride on, or the smell of the breeze or the Sun, or the fields or the water I drink – are all one (a part of me!). To say that I am “doing for something” is absurd. I am only doing – an act of engagement. What is the motive? No “personal” motive! I just do. In doing, I imply that I exist. In doing, I say that I am in motion, but I am stillness too. Who creates and for whom? What is created? I think who, whom and what needs to dissolve.

Architecture is motion – As an experience, architecture is felt in motion. The climate changes, sun changes, breeze keep changing, humidity changes, views change, the user changes, building ages, lightness and darkness change and we too change. This stage of architecture frames this change. There cannot be architecture if there is staticness in life. The idea of openings and enclosures will not exist if I do not move around (inside and outside and take a pause and again start to go) or if there is no breeze or if Sun does not move or nothing ever really changes. Life is change and we strive to strike a balance between too much change and too little. Architecture therefore, is created “in between” the extremes and the perfect balance of extremes results in music or transcendence or chemically speaking – equilibrium! The change in environment means also a state of “memory”. Too fast a change or too slow a change does not create memory and therefore will not create any motive or desire for architecture.

In philosophy, one is required to go beyond space-time. Space and time makes all our experiences in the manifested world – they give it a boundary against which, change gets perceived. We exist in space-time fabric and hence architecture exists within this framework. The moment we transcend this boundary, there will not be any need to do architecture.

Architecture can have any starting point for a concept. The result can be as encompassing as ever and as transcendental as ever. When looking at history, we tend to see architecture based on our perception and discover the concept or a start point based on our tendencies. So history is relative, but it can also convey a universal message. It is important that this universal message is realized regardless of a particular context.

Coming and Going

Certain thoughts need to be reinforced. In any case we keep reinforcing some thoughts based on our tendencies or motion or momentum that has been set by us – either towards contraction/ attachment/ senses/ body or towards liberation/ freedom/ stillness/ Oneness. The reality of moment has these two oscillating states and that is what is perceived when we say “life”. Almost all of us consider life as being alive and our perception is geared towards this reality. But what about a state where there is no force, no form, no character, no colour, no movement, no vibration? That is also being “alive” – but in a different way and we can know this state if the perception changes towards that state. God is not external but needs to be realized within a phenomenon (us). If the seed of liberation is strong and nourished, God is realized within; else it keeps getting brushed under the carpet by other seeds of desires that readily sprout by our own choice.

Thus a fundamental choice is presented to us – either desire (vibration leading to motion leading to identification/ego) is to be nourished or to realize a state of being desire-less?

Without desire means to go beyond desire or identification of a phenomenon having ulterior motives of existence. This is by use of intellect or by meditation or by work or by love. This systematizes perception to an experience of Oneness. I can either be hopelessly tossed in the world of motion or I can choose to remain focused and centered on consciousness.

Consciousness also exhibits a tendency of motion or vibration. The medium is such that motion can be set by a particular will or intent or vibration or force and that leads to a projection of a phenomenon as matter having a particular form and designated a name. Conversely, the form and its forces can dissolve back to the medium of stillness and other forms can be produced. This medium is something that cannot be thought about or described or felt or sensed or caught in any Laws (hence It is beyond everything) and hence it can take any dimension of space and time and keep changing. To think is to also contain It, which is impossible. So the moment It is thought, It already has got transformed into some mode of expression! Thus to know It, is to BE IT; means to BE STILL. The requirement is of changing our state of motion.

Since the two forces of desire and non attachment or liberation exists at any point of time a state of existence gets created that can be said as existing (if believed to be so) or non existing (if believed to be so). The state cannot be described in absolute terms – either this or that – but only a particular position can be explained based on our perception. This is the “doubt” or the “dilemma” that presents to what “we” are as phenomenon. Nothing is absolute – not even we as entities. WE exist as long as we believe it to be true, else there is no real existence to our minds and bodies and our perceptions. The thoughts and emotions and whatever we think, is of our own making and that is what keeps us going. Therefore everything is relative or notional or a construct that we make. There is no real situation out there, no real person, no real form and no real colour or texture or anything. All is happening in our mind. Then we think of various dreams that cause a momentum of sorts and we keep experiencing good, bad, ugly and all sorts of distortions and dilemmas and contradictions. We carry the questions with us and we make the situations. There is no separate event “outside” us – all is “I”.

Thus, why worry, why get angry, why fear, from whom to be feared, what is to be feared, why this sense of desperation, why run, why be fast, why slow down, why hoard, why catch hold of something?....If “I” am the only one appearing as many, from what am I fearing? From myself?!!

Let this realization go deep within ourselves and let it stabilize us and heal us from our motion.

I think I am born in this doubt and for long this doubt compelled action of engagement to complete myself. The engagement will continue with the doubt. Hopefully, the uneasiness will subside. I give back the doubt to God through all my actions and commitments.

The doubt and myself belong to God – there is no “me” separately as such in absolute sense. All is God. So whatever comes, comes from God and whatever goes, goes to God. Coming and going is motion and motion is God. God is there itself and motion is a projection of God.

Emptying the Mind

Emptying the mind is the best antidote to stress or the feeling of impermanence. All phenomena of manifestation exist as “motion” – including our minds and bodies. We are motion, so we see the universe in terms of name and form. Being identified with a particular state of form (which is us), we see other forms. Hence to be in a form, means to think via the form and to think means to perceive other forms. This is the creation. The creation of manifestation from consciousness generates a feeling of “many” and not only “many”, but of a changing or a fluid reality.

The change is the motion caused by “vibrations” – the Potential trying to manifest as force and matter. Whether there is force or matter cannot be ascertained. There are these states because we exist in them or we act or we exhibit the laws of manifestation. These states are not there for some medium which is beyond these laws – which is a state of motionless or stillness or the One.

The question is about what is important for you? Is bread important or money or God? To remain engaged with the world thinking that it will provide answers to your fears or to realize what one actually is and that there is no need to do or be attached in motion?

These two states are real and they are interchangeable too. Each property exists with the other state and hence that is what all things are. We are a medium of consciousness that also includes the state of manifestation or of motion or of illusion or of construct or of the dream. The basis of unit of consciousness is to vibrate and hence project itself as force and matter too. While projecting itself as force and matter, the properties apparently change; the behavior changes and the functioning changes. In manifestation, each apparent entity latches itself onto its own identification and responds to other forms. All forget their original nature and this keeps the state of manifestation alive.

The universe does not go here or there or something gets added absolutely and something gets subtracted in an absolute sense. Nothing really changes for that matter. We think we change, we convert, we enter and we exit. All is due to our identification with motion (or separation) and our hankering to complete ourselves.

Realize this tendency, give up this tendency and empty the mind. Do not judge or evaluate or belittle or cause harm or fear or worry or expect or justify. Everywhere there is only “I” so what is there to worry? What is there to compete and what is there to go fast or slow? Is there any need to base your response based on something “external” situations? In other words, situation – perception of the same = consciousness. Be empty.
