Today morning I was talking with aai and following things were discussed

Approaches of philosophy, psychology, phenomenology and modern studies differ about what can be accepted, what is acceptance, diversity, empathy and wholesomeness.

Modern attitude very severely wants to find variables in the equation, form relationships of interdependence and seek control - it is unable to accept change so readily and goes after constructing ideas of perfection, security, and control. It wants no change since change is seen as a problem (and that means “we” too become a problem of tendencies or feelings, or thoughts or body- everything becomes a liability of sorts!). So any change of situation or people or age, or gender or relationship is a problem to be solved – let us fix it! Why has this approach become so ingrained in our mind? Why are we running and quickening and shortening time and perfecting something and multitasking things?

Other fields tell us that all the variety of life is our own making and is a part of the whole truth. We are as much present in the young kid (since we too were kids some time) and we are as much in the elders since we too will grow old. Kids or elders are a relative term seen from the present perspective of our age and gender and they exhibit a kind of a tendency that expresses that age and gender. Why be bothered? Developed societies consider elders as a liability (what else can they do anyway), and that means all human beings or life forms are reduced to some mechanical numbers meant to produce some worthwhile product for economics’ benefit. And this stance says a lot about attitudes of the mind and how it sees the environment or the idea of existence. I can say the same thing of any other colour or a form or climate or culture or history where there is classification, evaluation, judgment and an equation or preference and rejection and what or how it leads one to some constructed idea of super security or super perfection.

Other fields say that tendencies are natural and they lead to so many natural diversities that judging them is equivalent to judging yourself or judging manifestation or motion. Hence all are equal (divine in fact) and there is no such thing as indigenous verses urbanite and so on or preindustrial verses post industrial and so on. This comparison assumes that 10 parameters from time  zone x plus 15 parameters from time zone y and other 18 parameters from time zone z will create a perfect scenario for us.

The point is plucking something from any other time zone is not possible since everything is a wholesome affair and hence summation of all preferred parameters (seen from a distorted perception of present) does not lead anywhere or leads to disappointment to say the least.

Delight or peace is a matter of rediscovery in every context and not of repeating some tested method or a product or a process.

Finally modern attitudes can only catch hold of the visible reality for evaluation and planning. There are other faculty dimensions that acknowledge and have felt the invisible and which inform the visible world but cannot be controlled so they only require acceptance. When can modern mind learn this or am I expecting too much in this question?!
