Currents of Time
To assume that one might finally
solve the 'puzzle' of perception of life is foolish. Existence brings in
thoughts. it is only we who become aware of thoughts to a massive extent, try
to change them (in order to get a sense of control or permanence or perfection)
and realize that they can't be decoded beyond a certain point - something that still remains out of
control, uncertain and unstoppable. Currents of thoughts flow through the inner
space of consciousness - these currents constitute our mind. Currents have
feelings, emotions, intellect and perceptions of body, space, and time.
Fundamentally, currents (or thoughts) generate a notion of 'Time'. Time may be
cyclic/ spiral (as a pattern) or maybe linear as a factual history having a past,
present and future. Either way, the currents continue to penetrate us and leave
an impact. We remain affected - with joys and sorrow - all indicating moments
of involvement and attachments to thoughts. Whatever we do, no matter what we
think or imagine, thoughts continue to be generated and flow.
Existence forces such immersion
in thoughts - fundamental being that one day, it is all going to end - with it,
our attachments to our definition of life. We will have to embrace all thoughts
- frightening at times, encouraging at other times - every time forcing us to take decisions and
live the cycle of patterns we generate for ourselves. Will it matter what we do
tomorrow? Will it matter, what we did yesterday? We may believe that the
present moment is the reality, but the past and the future generates the
meaning of the present. The journey of knowing is endless. And the sooner we
know that destinations are mere intervals, the decision as to choose an
appropriate pace of discovery might be taken appropriately.
I think, we may encounter the
following questions along the way -
What is your idea of progress?
What do you mean by slow progress or a faster progress?
Why are you concerned about
changing the situation or a context or a person?
Why do you aim to be perfect?
Why can't you just leave things
as they are?
Why do you remain involved in
taking decisions? Why do you decide? What do you decide?
If you understand above
responses, then why do you yet decide to get married to someone?
Why do you feel resistance to
change things? What is this resistance?
Can you just exist for the sake
of it? Or are you always compelled to prove a point and compelled to know what
you are doing and what are the repercussions?
Difficult questions. No straight
answers.
