Unconditional
261221: Shree
We unnecessarily worry. This worry is because of
our perception of how we exist as mind and body – breaking it down to
vibrations. Motion will generate cycles of imaginations; of situations, events,
people, forms, perceptions, tendencies, changes, memories and so on. Not one
aspect of manifestation can be solved and offer a sense of completeness to the
intellect and if we remain stuck by relating or constructing our identity on
perception or intellect or if we insist that our perception is supposed to
remain valid, then we are inviting disappointment and pain in our lives. One
may think and apply any faculty of mind – be it intellect or feelings or action
– all create cycles of engagement; all create their own expectations; all
create pain. Fundamental in all this application is the perception of ego or
the belief in separation or that I exist as mind and body so I must survive and
all that self talk that happens in our mind is geared to reinforce this belief.
I see a human being and that kind of defense mechanism is going on and on - whether he says it or not. If I get
affected by that defense mechanism, then I need to inculcate the same kind of
language of defense or ego – hence to continue to exist in motion means that
one is being defensive and treating motion as real and hence getting attached
to all perceptions generated from mind and body.
This perception is infinite in its constitution! It
deals with impressions or momentum of past lives; it deals with our memories or
our choice to attract a certain set of signals; it deals with space-time
effects; it deals with body vibrations; it deals with mind vibrations; it deals
with subtle vibrations – collectively it forms existence for us.
This may throw some light on our tendencies of
expressions and reacting to “situations”. The point is that as long as
existence is real to us (as motion), we will defend ourselves by whatever means
possible – even now many of us are already in a self talk to reinforce our
separation and justifying all the fears and dilemmas that exist within us. What
exists inside is what gets projected and caught by us from outside. This cycle
continues. One can try and take one thread of thought and observe where it
leads one – it will be inferred that any thread of thought changes into
anything else because of certain causes and effects and there is no rest in a
position and it turns out to be a cycle of continuous analysis and responses.
Certain people talk their minds and we feel
prompted to react – why?
Certain people do not say anything and we feel
compelled to justify or pacify them – why?
Certain people say something and we feel defensive
that they didn’t understand us – why?
Certain people complain and we feel the urge to
solve a problem by feeling guilty or responsible – why?
Certain people say something and we agree to their
perceptions – why?
Certain people express anxiety and no matter what
we do to assist them they keep expressing the same tendency; then we feel
helpless to do anything or get angry at a situation that seems to be out of our
control – why?
Certain people continuously forget things and this
result in nuisance to us, and then we think if they do it on purpose or they do
not want to do work or it just happens – why?
We think that we should keep doing something,
reading something, writing something, going to some place – why?
We think all this is crap and we should sit at one
place and that too seems to bother others and we feel compelled to explain our
thoughts – why?
We try to fix things and that again creates other
cycles and we do not stop – why?
Above are some of the questions that continuously
go in our minds and we lose a lot of steam on the way. We do not focus and we
do not concentrate on reality that should matter to us. This reality is God and
that we are spirits that have no motion and that gets expressed apparently as
faculties of mind and body. That there is no you or me or need of being
defensives since the entire idea itself is an illusion.
We are God and hence remembering this dimension and
practicing it will again reveal this reality to us. Today I can do whatever I want and help any
person in whatever manner I can – it is still spatially and temporarily
impermanent. I construct notions of duty and responsibility and I am stuck trying
to help others by food or desires or intellect or feelings or actions. I am
myself not permanent and stable, so what hope am I to assume for permanence of
everything else? So please, forget responsibility and duty to anybody. One
comes here as a form and one has to realize that there is nobody else different
from him/her for which he/she needs to fear or to feed or to love or to do some
duty or to be responsible.
This is a fact. Hence to imagine something as a
defense mechanism or to reinforce oneself is not required. Be inspirational
beyond these limitations. Be divine. If you have to use intellect, love
and actions – do it unconditionally without thinking of ego, context, situation
and expectations. We just express things and do not worry about anything.
