Shree: Giving

070822: Shree: Giving

Ability to remain calm is more important than anything else – that does not mean suppression of feelings or rejection. We are disturbed by our own vibrations and we identify with change, dependence, conditions and think that by controlling any aspect of motion, we will attain peace. For one, none of the things of motion are dependable or permanent. They change, since we ourselves change. There is no logical answer to issues of life since the phenomenon of existence is beyond logic.

Despite this nature, effort of calming oneself is required to be undertaken. Realize that bliss is unconditional and it is of limited use to think of situations or past and future connections of self or other or any field. All motion is a mirror of our own tendencies and that is all there is to it. We need not confirm to motion, neither take its burden nor feel guilty of anything. Do your job well and the best way to do a job is to realize that God is the sole Doer of things and what we do is given to Him. What comes out of it is to be accepted without any complaints.

This fact is to be remembered time and again till this feeling becomes the core of our existence.

We take many things personally. What people say, with what intentions, how and why is not an indication of us and neither is it compulsory for us to answer anything or troubleshoot the situation. We are a witness and we respond with full attention. That is all there is to it. That being said, to achieve this state of mind, it is important to practice calmness and silence and enhance the ability to analyse thoughts and feelings of self (and the other).

One purpose of philosophy is to generate this attitude and then see things in perspective of giving, surrendering, love, acceptance, duty, delight. This attitude may happen in an instant or may take time – but whatever time it takes, it is important to take efforts. Take efforts, try – things materialize in some way. Accept them. Continue taking delight and always give.
