Shree: Intellect
Shree: Intellect
dilemma of existence is an important part of evolution of the mind. there is only One medium that has absolute Existence. this medium expresses in terms of many forces and forms. one of these forms, is a human being. whether things really are created or is this only an illusion is difficult to say and since it is difficult, we are called upon to realize what is the Truth. the start point of our Existence itself is not absolute, seems shifting, needs to take into account many dimensions, makes us perceive change that we cannot control (or need not control) and remains interdependent. this means that probably there is an approach to living and if sincerely committed to the same, can reveal our true nature.
intellect can be understood in three ways.
along the hierarchical chain, it is extremely subtle and at the top of the chain followed by feelings and followed by instinct or action. this means that intellect can decide and bring feelings and action into focus and align these dimensions. it can also decide what is action despite seemingly contradictory signals sent by feelings and actions and where can alignment be achieved. in this respect, intellectual dimension is important to have.
intellect can also be extremely "binding" if coming from ego. it will drive one in circles, loops, try to fix things, not listen to what feelings and actions are saying and will try to tame all other natures into one uniform behaviour and will harp for control. this will cause stress undoubtedly. and also fear. and also avoidance.
intellect is also seen as coming after Existence or after Inspiration or after Intent. this means that there is something more basic or fundamental or "prior" to intellect or which causes the intellect to function or be deployed in a particular manner. if we understand this apriori experience, then the intellect can be "made steady" and operate in its most natural state or capacity. the apriori state is something which gives birth or causes intellect to manifest.
after manifestation, one "perceives" things or space and time matrix. therefore perception is a shadow of what the Absolute Existence really is.
the agenda for intellect is twofold - to know its limitation for not being able to understand the apriori experience and to transform itself into apriori state.
