Shree: Internal and External Worlds
Shree:
Internal and External Worlds
Perception
is external and internal and each affects the other. The issue of external
perception is that it is dependent only on what is perceived in front of us and
that determines logic. Hence there is a limitation. If the perception becomes
inward looking then other forces and vibrations get visible and perhaps shared
across space and time and hence the nature of logic and its application
changes. Anything that comes from internal perception has a far greater chance
of lasting in the external world and can accommodate external changes in higher
degrees. This is so because the creation is not subjected to the vagaries of
external changes (or is beyond the laws of external changes and hence becomes
more eternal in spirit).
We
can keep going inward till we reach a point where change is not needed at all
and hence no expression is needed and since that becomes the case, this state
becomes immortal and free of all conditions of space and time or constraints or
conditions or formations or any intent. Becoming inward means to become
infinite and the One. Whatever changes happen are because of vibrations and
this leads to creation of forces and forms and something visible. When we say
we have a mind and a body, so we see and comprehend our existence, what are we indicating
here? We are saying that we are operating currently in a state of existence
that is “external” and implies a limited use of logic. This logic can only
sense separation and fear and it has to struggle to feel eternal love amongst
all creations. To become inward means to grow in unconditional love and to be
able to accommodate or move beyond any differences. Differences were notional,
what actually is the truth is only Love.
Intent
of existing becomes important finally. External expression shows very limited
glimpse of what the internal world of the person or a situation is. A person
who is able to sense the internal world of another person through his/her
external actions is said to be highly matured. For a maturity to develop, we ourselves
should be able to tap into internal world.
Avoidance
of any bad actions is not an indication of peace or control or strength. And doing
actions in full gusto is not an indication of internal comfort too. This means
that doing something or reframing oneself from doing something – both are not always
the true indicators of transforming oneself. In the same way, one cannot avoid
anything as a matter of truth. One may avoid seeing unpleasant sights externally,
but how does one grapple with unpleasant thoughts or vibrations that may erupt
internally? And does external reality have any value if internally one becomes “barren”?
Philosophically
the internal world is like a “seed” that generates into an external tree or a
landscape. If there is disharmony within, it will express itself outside as violence.
The source of the seed is God Himself that sprouts continuously into vibrations
and forms.
Therefore
the point is post Covid times, what is the condition of the internal reality
which we experience individually and collectively? If there is any disharmony,
what that is, how can one identify the same and what can be done to respond to
the disharmony and heal it? This is a greater task at hand than doing anything
externally.
