Shree: Engagement
Shree: Engagement
Freeness is in knowing that all happens by Him and Him only. What comes in
between Him and me is the vibrations that create me. It may be said as coming
in between or it may be said as coming from Him. Thus He is the centre or the
focus of everything known and unknown to us.
We unnecessarily get worried about situations, changes, forms, dependence,
action, self, and others and so on. Worry is a sign of differentiation or
separation. We also get worried about things unknown or beyond perception and
how they affect us or how they make things visible and what may happen next. We
worry about the fruits of what we say or do. We worry when things will happen
in our expected ways and how they happen and so on. Thought is a sign of worry or fear and as
long as there is thought – it will change; it will generate a different
sequence; it will be dependent; it will be formed by many subtle vibrations and
so on. Despite seeing things visibly there are many forces and vibrations that make
forms visible and all of this comes from One Source eternally there and also
within us. The role of manifestation is to keep happening and is a dimension of
Existence.
Being in motion means one feels impermanence. Impermanence in current
situation of perception causes fear in us and we defend in ways even mysterious
to us! We think freedom to us may mean doing this or that or doing something
dutifully or being respectful or saying something or concealing nasty comments
or reframing on doing something or being together or being alone or starting
from past or analyzing past mistakes (so that future mistakes may be avoided)
or critiquing anything or being loud or being silent or justifying something or
choosing not to justify or to think or not to think anything under the sun; choosing
this or that; choosing a position or not choosing a position; being focused on
individual or collective; or in the past or future or being blinded to all such
wavering – we continue to be consumed by running of the mind.
We are never sure about the completeness of anything or any action of ours
and that is what continues creation and the making of forms. I do not think
that by analyzing anything or dissecting anything and by forming any ideal
sequence, there may be satisfaction – because behind all our intent (even of
good action) there is a purpose and a condition and this means I still consider
myself separated individual from all phenomena.
This struggle is to be observed and not reacted to. Observation increases
by remembering God – starting with the concept, thinking about what this
concept means to me, proceeding to implement it, observing the experiences that
come your way and continuing on the path of observation. In this entire
journey, the sequence is to be discovered and unless things transcend, we may
still be egoistic – love may also come from the point of ego. There is no such
thing as a bounded region or a compartmentalized existence or demanding things
to happen in defined ways and saying that particular feelings to occur only at
these times. In fact to expect and demand something itself is a mistake a human
being commits and he does so because of the belief of freedom ingrained by
doing something right in a given space and time or a position of motion. Yet this
doing is inevitable – as a language of God. He has called upon us to act and in this
action realize His presence.
All said and done, things happen. All said and done, thoughts arise, they
disturb us, one may feel disappointed, experience pain, have a serious doubt,
may do a lot of self talk and one has to arrive at a decision of proceeding
ahead.
Summarily this may be said as “engagement” with life as it appears for us. One
cannot avoid or run anywhere from any thought that creates any experience.
Life means motion and we are called to respond to this motion and discover the
eternal truth. Running or avoidance is just not possible and neither is it
required. Things will be known “eventually” and to be trusted! All is only God
and all experiences and actions are coming from Him and make us go close to
Him. It is not we who are important but only He is.
Hari Om.
