Is motion really required?

Is motion really required? Do I need to write anything, say anything and express anything for anybody? What is happening within me? For whom do I work, do I love and do I think? So who is this ‘I’? I is nobody – as an absolute reality. I is neither mind nor body – these are just incidental dimensions of existence. Incidental as in, they exist as long as some fuel is added to fire – as long as desire is kept alive. So we are dealing with a subtle force called ‘desire’ and not the body (or matter).

Some people may question or like to know what is desire? Desire is a force. Breaking it still further, force is vibration (or oscillation of consciousness to some wave and particle). In other words, desire is a force felt in a particular phenomenon called as a human being. This leads to perception of the world around us, about us and our identity. This is still very complicated to understand in terms of variables.  However, we may realize that desire or intent or memory etc is informed by body, senses, feelings, intellect, environment, generations of collective wisdom and so on. Our circle of awareness either contracts or expands. If it expands to include environment then eternal “principles” of life are realized that have got nothing to do with me or you.

Thus, the bottom line is to expand our awareness. This is done either by withdrawing the outward pull of the fragmented mind and to concentrate it on itself as a force. What happens is that it becomes still and consciousness is realized. Then one can chose to direct this energy on a ‘chosen’ subject. The issue is that a subject does not determine our identity (since it was only imaginary or created by me!), else we get trapped and we do everything to ensure perfection and stability in that subject. A subject maybe anything in the manifested (imagined) world. What makes the subject ‘real’? Our belief in it. By default, our subjects are created by our unending force of desire. Since desire is inborn/ inbuilt in every manifestation, it cannot be controlled through objects/ matter. The desire is to be understood by withdrawing the mind within itself. By doing this, waves/ vibrations are seen, then we know that we have nothing to do with it and we know that a blissful state of non identity exists. This is what we are aiming at by the process of withdrawal.

The other process is of doing ANYTHING without any personal desire or ulterior motive or expectation. Generally, all thoughts, actions are governed by intent/ desire. The question is ‘what’ is the nature of desire you wish to grow within yourself? You will realize that some desires, if grown, make you oppressive, whereas some other desires, if nourished make you light and liberated. Any desire done with an intention of discovering and nourishing ‘principles’ makes one free. The highest principle is consciousness or God. Direct your desires to Him. Think, feel and act for Him and engage by keeping Him as the basis of your intent. Then the work done or the engagement that gets created -through intellect or feelings or action becomes priceless and without any impression or limitation.

Thus, the learning is not to get entangled in futile argumentation or validation or sensory compulsions. Rising above all these limitations is required.
