Perception
271221: Shree
Perception is existence – perception of anything or
any state of mind. I think that “Maya” is a property of this perception – that
it can either perceive consciousness or motion and hence whatever it perceives,
it clings to it; it loves it; it makes that state real. This is called focusing
on a particular state to make it real. Currently we all tend to focus only on
motion and hence we have become motion (many, clinging, change, fear, memories,
forms, fluidity, mind-body, vibrations and so on) - all these are notions or
constructs or imaginations which are a part of motion. We are conditional; we
expect things; may get pleasure or pain in return; we keep running; we think we
are born and we will die; we cling to anything that the mind and body tells us;
we have ego. Whatever we imagine because of this state of existence, we make it
real.
This ego is to forget our nature of consciousness
and to consider our existence of “wave” in the ocean or the “cloud” in the sky
as real. Anything of space and time is subjected to change and hence our
attachment to motion will not only change us but also present to us changing
facets of motion. Motion results from vibrations – appearing something as
consciousness and something as a particle and causing forces and forms that
move and change. The problem is to check change and to believe that our
identity depends on change. If you get entangled in more dimensions of
change with greater frequency and faster pace then life is bound to get
miserable for you.
Why does this happen? It happens probably because we
just keep accepting signals from senses or body and get affected by those.
Signals and perceptions that arise from these signals – are constructs. We take
them as real, so they become real to us and we respond. So the lesson to learn
is to dissolve these signals that the senses receive. This means to turn your
attention inside and explore the inner world of vibrations that become subtle
and subtle till a state of non motion is realized – this is the experience of consciousness.
This means that as one becomes consciousness, the
vibrations no longer are present, and if they aren’t then anything that depends
on them also vanish – i.e. there is no manifestation or any situation or people
or circumstances or any constructs. This is our absolute nature.
