Shree: Acting from Beyond
210822: Shree: Acting from Beyond
Remembering God is to express
one’s true nature of existence. This can happen through vibrations, thoughts
and actions – all aligned. Now alignment is something that develops gradually;
may not be felt linearly; may take time; may happen by unexpected situations. In
what ways are we compelled by ego or identification with motion is unknown – or
sometimes beyond grasp of visible intellect. And hence, practice of remembrance
becomes important, since this practice transforms the person beyond his applied
imagination. This sentence talks of trust – that transformation takes place and
some of these steps are accidental or cannot be predicted or planned or do not
seem to be tangible.
As is with philosophy, so is with
anything about existence. Logic has a role of discipline but beyond that, the
nature of existence brings about transformation. We may think that our impact
of action can be clearly defined and can have a logical prediction, but many
things happen beyond that. In the same way, when things come to us for
perceiving and responding, they come from many effects beyond the tangible
intellect.
Obviously the question is if
everything could be governed by intellect, then what was there to fear or keep
engaged with? The riddle could be solved in a definite period of time. This,
however, as we known is not the case so there seems to be some phenomenon
beyond our grasp that makes things happen and we perceive only a part of it
depending on our mental capacity.
Secondly knowing this, we are
compelled to keep ourselves engaged in planning, predicting, imagining,
defending and so on. So we are always in a state of non rest and in turmoil.
So the approach to see this – is to
make the mind still so that situations are seen as our own constructs and these
therefore can be dissolved (or do not create any entanglement).
Unchaining oneself is to become
unconditional, which means to become the One or non motion or renounce all conditions
– which means to go beyond everything. Generally, renouncement may seem like
suppressing everything – but it is actually to go beyond the constructed layers
of mind and body. So thinking, feeling, acting through universal value is our
aim and not through our mind or body.
