Shree: One
021222: Shree: One
focus is about awareness of consciousness. popularly focus is seen as concentrating on one activity at the cost of everything else - it may indicate displacement of distractions - but that it not what offers peace lifelong. spiritually focus is about starting from one activity and realizing its connection with everything else and transcending the connections to make the mind still. this is perhaps an appropriate meaning of focus - to perceive consciousness in each moment of existence.
currently we exist - but as motion that makes us perceive forces and forms and change and differences. control of the form or any kind of activity or planning does not solve anything since we are focusing on variables of change - and identifying existence with those variables. more variables, more fragmentation, more change, more conditions, more stress. our lives currently seem to follow that track and hence we are stressed. it is not about what one does, but how one does something that creates an awareness. in this sense, action is important to assist one in becoming unconditional or blissful.
as long as we lay any sort of conditions, we are creating fear. as motion, there is bound to be change, interdependence and differentiation and compulsion to control things. to find an answer to a situation should only make us realize the truth of consciousness and that there is only One and all things are a result of that One. no form exists without Him and no form exists independently by itself. motion is not independent of consciousness but consciousness has an absolute independent existence.
we want to do many things where our desires take us from senses to mind; we want to read a lot of stuff of many fields; we want to visit many places; we want to meet a greet a lot of people and cultures; we want to have knowledge of palmistry to future visions to our chosen fields, we want to know everything of past to future, we want to know everything of situations + people....we just do not stop.
as of now - do you think you need to accomplish something or be somewhere else or do something more or have this or that or fix this or that or have bodily or mental comfort or have money or have something to make you feel peaceful? this is a trap.
this is called going berserk with the self. the above action does not lead anyone anywhere. the reverse is expected - to focus and become still in one activity. that one activity is a gateway to consciousness. there is no single activity and neither are there many. there is either stillness of the mind or craziness of motion.
