Shree: anthropomorphic
Shree: anthropomorphic
The intellect and feelings (mind)
or anything of manifestation is governed by the deepest of feelings or nature
of existence. Intellect and feelings that we know about the mind is created
from a more fundamental state of being and which is shared across time, scale
and forms and which builds the external world. Hence the name of God is
required to be undertaken to “feel” this state or the layer of existence. since
currently we believe that we have no access to this layer, what develops are
fleeting and changing range of emotions – fear being one of them. It is perhaps
not that fear goes away in this layer, the form of intellect and feelings of
any kind maybe changing and fusing into a uniform whole. As one becomes
‘external’, there occurs differentiation in this medium of whole into apparent
separated parts such as intellect, feelings, body, senses and so on. Hence, to
become external means to create separation and to become internal means to be
whole (and complete).
In the phenomenal world, we can
take efforts as we wish – this may sometimes trigger wholeness within us – so
there is always a place for actions. I do not believe that phenomenon ought to
be dismissed. Phenomenon is an aspect of internal world of God, so it has to be
seen in that perspective.
If one even looks at tribal
cultural examples, then the idea of territory or architecture or spaces is
anthropomorphic (seems to be one measure of making sense of the world). In
today’s times, we refer to other symbols – such as maths or science to makes
sense of the world. So symbols in themselves (may be anthropomorphic or life
forms or geography themselves and even diagrams of representations) may suggest
a lot about the character of sense of belonging. What we feel internally leads to its representation! And what gets
represented is “read” as a function of what we sense internally! In this way we
define language and then the language feeds us in turn! Therefore there is an
effort which is required to decode traditional cultures.
One way of representing a given
phenomenon anthromorphically means that I see the feet of God and if I need to
see the head of God and look in His eyes, then I need to go internally within
the self.
