Three Things in Life

No single thought is absolute in itself. In other words, each thought is equally valid, as long as you consider it to be so. The “absoluteness” or belief in a thought depends on you. Thus, definition of any kind of experience (and its value to us) depends on you alone. Guilt is yours, regret is yours and so is recovery, hope, love, transformation and anything else. Which thought do you wish to hold on to?....

There is no “start” point to anything. In other words, anything can be regarded as a starting point in itself. Thus, a particular event may be regarded as having certain influences from the past or may be regarded as inspired from the present. Thus, every moment has a dimension of “influence”, “creativity” and “freedom”. Since there is no start point to anything, every moment is filled with unlimited potential. Since there is no start point from where the present has come, there is no point in “controlling” the present – let things happen. One may choose to guide movement in some direction, but that’s all one can do. One can’t predict the present or the future, since one can’t “find” the starting point that was located in the past and from where the present and future are located. Thus, this places the pain and the anxiety in proper perspective.

There is (therefore) no end point. Thus, the finished product only indicates a part of the answer/ truth. Decoding the product unravels the process and decoding the process unravels the void. So, all things (manifestations that seem like objects and have a permanent nature) come from pure nothingness or the void. The void can’t be described or caught or drawn or seen or heard or smelt or tasted or touched. Thus, it is beyond place, time. Thus you can’t be judged by your body or colour or actions or words or thoughts. That is to say, you can’t be judged from ‘past’ or some preconceived notions of value – neither by yourself nor by people around you. The real ‘You’ is omnipresent and is not limited to manifestations. Criteria of judgement, evaluation, prestige, purpose, rejection, are simply manmade. Thus, there is limited merit in trying to confirm to manmade standards of performance. We don’t achieve much in conforming to such notions. Similarly, the product doesn’t’ indicate a destination or a stopping point, since not only its physical form changes with time, its meaning also changes with our own perceptions. Thus, we can’t “freeze” anything around us. Hence, no one needs to label us permanently into anything – that’s a useless proposition. Thus, a failure does not permanently bracket you into anything – it can lead you to future opportunities. And one time success is no guarantee of lifetime pedestal treatment either. The tide can change anytime. It also indicates the reality of impermanence of things – outside and inside. It also means that one has the ability to keep on transforming into something better, despite numerous trials done previously. One can turn from black to white, if efforts are taken. So neither black is true or white! Or both black and white are just ‘points’ in space-time phenomenon. Can we realize this ability to look beyond the product?
