Becoming Universal
Every thought creates an impression in mind or changes the character of the mind. Mind is fluid and it is best to equate it to a force of perception. How does this force arise? It arises in consciousness - -to become or take some ‘form’. Vibration sets in, waves get generated, particles coalesce and the equation of space-force-matter is created. So, as a physical idea of “space” – this also is not so neutral, and includes the component of force (of contraction and repulsion) to create a condensed or a dispersed mass. So what we see around us, as visible forms or matter, may be termed as a condensed form of a physical space that includes components of force and physical structure of matter. Or, in other words, what we see around us, are several combinations of vibrations in consciousness that appear as matter. These vibrations are also sensed or perceived by ‘us’ (as a phenomenon) and we respond to them through thoughts and actions - -again creating vibrations in the overall web of space-force-matter. Hence all phenomena are connected by vibrations (they respond to one another or perceive one another). This perception of the world within and the world without is a property of mind that only we seem to be aware. Whatever we see or do has got nothing to do with our existence in any way – it is NOT supposed to be treated as personal. Credit isn’t ours, nor is initiation, nor is effort, nor is response to our actions. What we do, is imagining situations based on our state of vibrations. So the visible form is another dimension of the intangible consciousness. Probably for the sake of convenience, we may consider this as layers representing an onion – that the most external coating is the form/ matter and as one peels the layers one reaches consciousness.
Peeling the layers or dissolving the layers or realizing subtle aspects of thoughts is the same. These aren’t compartments. What one calls as space, another one perceives as force, whereas other person may only be responding to the external form. And depending on what one catches (as vibrations) one sees the universe in that manner. In fact, instead of universe, it is more appropriate to call a ‘Thing’ as a phenomenon. I either see a form or force or space or consciousness depending on my nature of thoughts. By being able to perceive phenomenon as consciousness (as One) I become unrestrained, neutral, encompassing, accepting, non judgemental, incidental, egoless, fearless, desire less, doubtless, unburdened, memory less, still, non discriminating….
The presence of the ego, is an indicator of our attachment to a particular phenomena that causes constraints in our awareness. As long as we continue to identify or perceive reality as being of force or matter, we remain limited in our analysis and we keep experiencing fear, pleasure and pain.
So watch your thoughts. If you perceive subtle waves of anger, defence, justification, ego, hurriedness, arrogance, aggression, competition, anxiety, worry, doubt, fear, mistrust underlying your thoughts, then it implies that you need to work on yourself and question these thought patterns, in terms of their origin, their dependence on situations, and so on.
The journey has always been personal. The destination of this personal journey is to become Universal.
