Shree: Steadiness
Shree: Steadiness
Steadiness of the mind may span
several scales, may include vibrations and may also make us dissolve momentum
of past lives and future projections. The mind that we understand and the forms
that we therefore perceive are constructed from vibrations to forces carried on
for several life spans. Principally, the forms change (body changes) but the
vibrations that result in a body and a relationship to motion are something
that requires our attention. This is our battlefield – of vibrations - and not
the immediate forms.
Intellect is one dimension of
existence that generates intent of action. It can become defensive or it can
transcend itself into the One. This means that Existence is there by itself and
the intellect has occurred from it (or is contained within Existence). The
search for a start point of motion, boundary, control of change,
compartmentalization, individualism are efforts employed by the intellect to
guard itself against change and dissolution. Architecturally that would mean super
specialization, deployment of several consultants, highly individualized spaces
and no room for the collective wisdom or multifunctional spaces, no idea of how
things will unfold, emphasis on accurate planning to perfection,
predictability, unsustainable responses, no place for feelings or empathy or
time or acceptance and so on.
However, we cannot “avoid” change
and neither can we compartmentalize actions to restrict change or avoid
unpleasant experiences. This is so because all is only One medium and hence
this Oneness is the thread by which we connect with the entire cosmos and the
vibrations are a part of that Oneness that gets perceived as separate forms.
Our focus requires shifting from fear or separation or forms to realizing the
Soul. Pain or pleasure is a state of mind that clings to forms but the mistake
it commits is assuming that the forms should not change. Well, if the seed of
all things vibrates, then how come anything is static and how come anything is
absolutely true and permanent?!
Then perhaps architecture would
become inclusive, multifunctional, unfolding with surprises, people centric,
environmentally conscious, frugal, simple, profound, accommodating enormous
changes and flexibility and so on. Perhaps the architect himself or herself may
not be required!
Efforts are required to become
this state of purity. In what manner things get internalized and externalized
is unknown or mysterious at best and hence whatever confidence we may have
regarding ourselves, one must be accepting of sudden disappointments and pain
that may surface within us. The disappointment or the pain is a reflection of
some deep expectation born from vibration that may not have any immediate
trigger of situation. Thus what is the approach for action? Well, it is only
One medium, so it is the trigger of everything that happens and all vibrations or
forces or forms are His doing, so why take hold of any object or a situation? He
knows all and even He knows you, so your trust in Him is required.
