Generally I think
actions are always long term or continuos, connected and originating from
consciousness. Instant action is a misnomer. Or rather expectation of any kind
is a misnomer. Our expectation over the actions we perform muddles its quality.
Purest of actions come from bliss. I think we also mistake in considering what
exactly makes an action and how should it be seen as a process and a product.
The mistake perhaps is natural process of understanding the truth of this
question and hence mistakes and their consequences are inevitable. Even if
anyone says anything to the effect of implying an immediate action or a
response, it is “not necessary” to comply to that intent and even if nothing
seems to get done, it doesn’t mean that we seem misfit for the operation. Each one
is going to approach the idea of action in his/her own way. What another person
imagines an action is not something I might agree to and hence the reponse that
I may offer might be different from what that person expects. But whose problem
is that?! And is it a problem in the first place?!! I am saying this to myself,
for I tend to do whatever immediate expectations the other seeks from me and
this may also have a deeper reason why do I react in desperation. Why? This
requires to be observed - this tendency for its own sake. And personally
speaking, I may not feel peaceful unless I accept how this desperation seems to
develop and that need not define who I ought to be. Nothing that is done is
currently resolving this tendency – be it looking inward or outward. Even this
expectation needs to be dropped and that too might be a process in itself. Till
then, some form of desperation may exist and may urge me to respond. It’s a pressure
that needs to diffuse and be accepted.
