Shree: Presence

Presence
How do we keep
going? Who gives strength? How do we exist? We exist indefinitely as
consciousness. From consciousness all vibrations, forces and forms emerge,
change, become interdependent or conditional and dissolve.
In our day to day
living, we do not know completely how and why certain things occur or appear in
our perceptions or consciousness and we are required to respond. We think a lot
for responding since we fear the fruits of actions which are not in our
control. The fear arises on account of our expectations or construct of ego or
identification with the changing forms and our compulsion to control them. And
we continue to generate this cycle of engagement – leading to rounds of births
and deaths. We are not aware of the start point or the middle or the end – nothing
seems to be in our hands and we keep going in circles.
The progress
expected is of awareness of presence of absolute consciousness. This would mean
many things of vibrations, thoughts, forces and forms. All is by God and this
sentence is required to be realized in our core. This means that ego or separation
should vanish. The trigger for vibrations should vanish and one should exist as
consciousness only.
No matter what the
events in one’s life, it is God’s will which works. God is the sole creator of
the universe including all motions, situations, events, perceptions, forces,
forms, changes and so on. How things materialize and take place is only by
God’s doing (and grace) and hence our only duty is to be aware of this
connection of God with motion. It is God’s will we are here and we continue to
learn something and experience a range of issues. All things change –
tendencies and vibrations remain eternal and hence even if bodies change,
situations remain the same.
To give a
contemporary example, mobile as an object alters our consciousness in layers of
thoughts and vibrations (so as any other object’s presence). Even if tomorrow
the mobile is taken by someone, I still am aware of its presence since I am
thinking about managing time, reminders, answers, commitments, and so on. For many
says when I am not required to respond in a way the mobile makes me do (meaning
taking things at my own pace, being slow, not getting reminded to do anything),
the presence of mobile goes away from my thinking.
This means that
existence of any phenomenon is dependent on how I remain engaged with it
(through vibrations, thoughts and objects). All motion ceases if I become the
One. All of motion does not affect me, if I become unconditional and recognize
only God’s presence.
