Proximity and extremely large distances have intriguing effects on _forms._

I think a useful query to consider is what is the intention behind a form/ architecture? This is not only a brief or a program or to prove something, is it? Designers may have the above intentions, but is satisfaction created?

Here, satisfaction can be equated to the quality or experience of "being in the world or making sense of the world or at peace"....A space can _become_ this quality or a form may come out of this deeper need to belong.

If this is agreed as an important thing to be acknowledged, then what experiences do traditional settlements (and forms) generate as compared to exploded cities?

I think, we cannot ignore experiences of relating to others, and feelings of enclosures, anchoring, transitions. These perhaps even go beyond a critical stance. Language of efficiency, sturdiness, evaluation, performance fade out if not linked to the fundamental core of experience.

Automobile, industries, mass communications, have accelerated distances of all kinds - physical and mental. Who will inquire about the cost paid in return?
