Loss of identity or the definition of identity perhaps seems to be the central theme of humanity. Is it fluid or changing or fixed or rooted or abstract or relative or connected or collective or individual?..

Inquiry is a fundamental part of this process and the search that follows is uniquely a human trait. 

The search may go to origins, fundamentals, truths, values, subtle things and so on. I think that "origin" doesn't mean to go backward or to any former roots, as much as it is to discover the fundamentals in any situation that one is encountering "at that moment". This may be a required learning process for us to evolve as something much more noble than to react as any ordinary human being. 

The "hut" is referred, at times, as the origin of architecture (among other types), from where everything else seems to have sprung up. Now the problem with this idea is when one links "origin" to a "formal idea or a form driven idea". That's an error.

I think the idea of a form of the hut is required to be understood as a way of perceiving and relating to life. The hut, may convey an approach of values, ideas, engagements, actions, relations, existence, and so on. Now if this relationship feels fascinating for our current situation, then one can reimagine this relationship in any new architectural situation, isn't it?...

Students use the word "reimagine" quite loosely. As if it were some sort of a switch or a magic wand of transformation. I beg to differ here. Reimagination could become a personally painful process to realize the fundamentals. The best reimagination probably occurs unknowingly by a person without any talk of the same. 

Therefore the situation is what it is. How one infers or ponders on it becomes crucial.

मला प्रश्न असतात. प्रश्न येऊ नये, असे कदाचित इतरांना वाटू शकेल, पण त्या इतरांच्या अपेक्षाकडे कसे बघावे, हे माझ्या हातात असतेच असते. प्रश्न काही न्यूनगंड दर्शवत नाही, किंव्हा अर्धवटपणा किंव्हा त्रास. हे इतरांची समज असते. त्या समजुतीतून स्वतःला का जोडावे?! 

प्रश्न पाहिजे तेव्हा येतील, कुठल्याही स्वरूपात येतील, कुणालाही येतील, कधीही येतील, कुठेही येतील, केव्हाही येतील. हा नैसर्गिक परिवर्तन होण्याचा गुण आहे. 

प्रश्नांचे उत्तर कालांतराने मिळतील निश्चित. आपण सैय्यम ठेवावे. सैय्यम म्हणजे कोडी उलगडण्यावरील श्रद्धा. 

ह्यातून आणखीन काही गोष्टी उलगडतात, जसे की...

कुठलाही क्षण तात्पुरता असतो. म्हणजे तो येतो, बदलतो ani निघून जातो. आपण, आपले निर्णय हे सर्व काळाच्या ओघात विलीन होत राहतात आणि हे मान्य असावे. त्यामुळे आपण शांत होतो. 

सामोरे जाणे. कारण प्रत्येक क्षणातून एक गूढ संबंध कळून येतो. असे अनेक गूढ संबंध साठवले, तर संपूर्ण आयुष्य गूढ आहे, हे ओळखता येईल. 

कप्प्यांचा खूप घातक परिणाम होतो स्वतःवर. ते ओळखून, सतत संपर्कात राहणे हे कधीही हितकारक असते. हिताचे असले, तरीही त्याचे महत्व त्वरित कळतेच असे नाही. ते कालांतराने कळेल. संपर्कात किंवा सहवासात अडचणी यावेत. तरीही ते शांतीने सामोरे जाऊन मार्ग आत्मसात करत रहावा. त्यातून सर्व जीवांचा गूढ भाव (जो आपल्यातही असतो) हे ओळखता येईल आणि तोच खरा संबंधाचा रंग असतो. 

ह्या प्रवासात श्रद्धा बळवंत होणे अभिप्रेत आहे. श्रद्धा काही वेगळी वस्तू नाही. ती आत परिवर्तन घडवणारी क्रिया समजावी.
