Random thought patterns as we try to analyse everyday life
श्री,
Shree: The Mind
Mind works or behaves or exists
in a phenomenon, so it “thinks or creates” in a particular way. This may be
said as a loop of thoughts. Currently the mind senses or catches only
fragments, disparate objects, separateness and establishes causal relations
among these. Individual sense of identity or individual existence creates this
thought of separateness and therefore systems, coordination and management to
control such fractures. So it is engaged in the created loop of fragmentation
and achieving control over the sense of increasing pace of fragments. Point is
that the mind is astute in creating loops and remaining engaged in the riddles
that the loop has created. It tries to find a complete picture, but the mind
analyses and so fragments and as it fragments it establishes relations. So
going beyond this behavior is important – we call it healing, slowing down,
comprehensive understanding or realization, empathy, feelings, organic flow,
peaceful non judgmental, acceptance, non evaluation, discussion, discovery and
so on.
To be in this environment,
starting from trust is necessary – that there is always hope and the capacity
to remain calm regardless of any perceivable circumstance. We need saving from
our own selves as far as the fragmented mind is concerned.
Unseen forces make the mind,
which is temporary, relative, dependent, changing, insular. A mind or a thought
is “created” the moment a situation of separateness gets born in the whole
picture. To be born or to be created is a phenomenon and consciousness has this
potential of being born as many, many, many things.
Also the start or the origin of
any phenomenon cannot be ascertained for certain – it is understood only with
respect to one’s mind. Neither the thing “out there” or the “mind within” is
true – both are relative and the products of the same phenomenon, coming from
the same Source (or the same process). In that sense, presence of mind is
eternal. In that sense, impressions always exist beyond the mind, within the
mind and even after the mind has dissolved – impressions change states and they
take on another form and reappear as something else somewhere and this catching
of impressions and resending them back is what the mind keeps doing in loops.
We can only go inwards to realize
this behavior and make ourselves calm.
Hari Om.
Shree: Mind
Mind is a phenomenon in itself
linked with many other things and since it is lined with states, invisible
entities, it behaves in a particular way. All things of phenomenon are governed
by Invisible Entity we refer as consciousness. Since it is there, all things come
into formation. So the Thing that creates forms is
consciousness and “not the form itself”!...
This means, among other things,
to “surrender” to consciousness or give the things back to Creative forces or
to “render services” for the Primary Cause.
Now the mind is a peculiar thing.
Mind creates thoughts through vibrations. And vibrations change, so there are
several continuous sequences of thoughts determined
by what nature has the mind made of (or how it chooses to think or create or
relate or perceive or conceive). This is important since observation,
comparison, conclusion and testimony -
the role of each – will depend on that. Anything that is seen or felt, will be
observed (in a deployed lens), compared (with something else), concluded (after
analysis that again is coloured) and confirmed (by a favoured testimony)!. This
means the mind, may be engaged in defending itself and ensuring its own
beliefs. Is it wrong? Now that is the question the mind should ask itself. The
question itself can take the mind to greater heights and finally, as the Seers
suggest, transcend itself. So doubt and introspection has its own place in the
scheme of things that exist. However no one thing is alone, so wherever there
is doubt, there are other host of vibrations also present.
So it then can be considered as a
matter of choice of what thoughts or sequences one considers important to be
engaged with. This is as far as the sense of individuality is held. In all of
this of course, it is expected that the Sole cause of any of our positions
should not be forgotten, which is consciousness.
Why should things be incomplete? Do
we really need an answer to this question?! This is also a capacity of the mind
to accept the given scenario of becoming and remaining at peace and not trying
to fix things always!
Hari Om.
Shree: Keep going!
Modernity and its intent on many
things has caused some inner rupture with empathy or the feeling of connect.
Modernity is a construct of human forces. By feeling what seems to be
happening, people look for a bridging answer, something to heal.
Architecturally, that may mean “travel” to villages, seeing indigenous cultures
or such world views and to feel or search for the fundamental experience that
becomes universal, or to some people, an inward journey through such processes
of travel. A journey may be regarded as this – wandering, aimless, sometimes
certain and at other times completely uncertain. The clouds of certainty and
uncertainty come and go, except for the sky that will always be there. One can’t
hold onto anything (and perhaps it seems, need not), for the concept of God is
to “keep going” and with this movement realize the Godliness in the self.
Hari Om.
श्री: बुद्धीचा वापर
श्री,
Shree
The beauty or peacefulness of
journey is guided from within, not embedded in anything external. Modernity
worries a lot about change, control, specifics, evaluations, explicitness,
arrivals, exits, purposefulness and so on. Modernity is a worrisome attitude,
if taken in the spirit of thought.
Many times, in design, we are
worried about how people will use something, got to some place, what will they
see and what kind of space would materialize and what will happen to the spaces
which are imagined and later on are used by people? We have to outgrow this
worry. And perhaps this worry stems from being too deterministic about everything
and designing in some sort of a vacuum unrelated to life. From this we have
production cycles, multipleness of events, simultaneity of presences – utter
nonsense.
Design should come or rise from
trust – let life unfold, which means that everything will be in its place and
complete the picture. Do we work with trust or not? Many times collaboration
seems like some competition to outwit the other and built on suspicion. The
product so formed endorses the same vibration – that of suspicion! How will
life ever thrive in its place?! This is what we do not accept or realize – that
at a far more subtle level, behind the scenes, the vibrations finally inform
the perception of the product in the environment. Then why cling onto
suspicion?
Hari Om.
Shree
To be extremely occupied with
“work” is a sort of being engaged with expectations, separations, judgments,
evaluations, assumptions, proofs, aggressions and so on. This is imagination
that gets one engaged in some pursuit. This same imagination plays out in any
time and the intent of creating anything, if it lies herein, then one may not
discover or become peaceful. All is a mist – be it information or explanation
or thinking or action (in one perspective). The problem with people is that
they seem to be unaware of (or perhaps unable to reach the capacity of) their
tendency getting expressed through some phenomenal developments of Divine
Action. So they run, search, speak, talk, discuss with the sole idea that the
subtleness can be controlled or brought out or twisted or something. There is
only one answer to this – realizing the relation of states of awareness from
within to outside. Let us accept we don’t know why we fear. We don’t know - it means that we can’t understand what
grips us and informs our perception or what controls us or what compels us to
act and why and how and where and when etc. it is funny that the intellect
wants answers to these questions and since it can’t get it in its own language,
it creates “fear”. So fear becomes “conditional thought” – it is created on
account of not understanding or feeling the truth or becoming the truth itself.
Fear gets “created” - this means it need
not be there in absolute sense. It is created based on the awareness that the
human form has about itself. Fear is a complex emotion and subtle too and can
connect to many situations, objects, forms, times, scales and so on. it is true
with anything – even silence or anything one does can connect with anything
else. So who owns fear? This is same as saying how did the human form arise? So
anything is the phenomenon is not owned by anyone else – not even fear or
anything or even conditions.
If one understands this, then one
can become “free” of the impacts of creation. Being free means to know that one
need not own anything to define oneself – one’s existence is not based on these
attributes (of fear or love or work or brain or heart or body or anything
else). I am not bound by these things. So ownership comes into play only when
one assumes some “limited role” in existence!
But this needs learning and
patience. Transformations may not happen overnight, since that is how it is, as
the nature of what we are dealing with. There is no need of explaining anything
to anyone – everyone knows what is the problem, even if they may not admit it
or verbalize it. And the problem again, is “not personal”! If one accepts this,
then one’s relation to others takes on a certain dimension of deeper connection
– beyond conditions.
Hari Om.
Shree: Place
Undifferentiation in some people comes in various ways – if we consider our own consciousness that functions in some cultures.
Gods (spirits), ancestors, traditions and people are continuous. The space that is experienced (the physical or the one that one perceives) is informed by cosmic and ancestral relations – those overlap and even actively interact to generate meaning to the “now” of our lives. Hence territory, movement in the landscape, architecture ande elements all symbolize/ represent/ suggest a way in which spirits, ancestors and people relate or called upon. From this, one makes out that there are billion ways in which such an “invocation” can materialize. The change within any form and the larger environment is 9or may be) generally referred as spirits and the underworld/ beneath the territory is generally referred for ancestors (is it because everything goes to dust or resurfaces later on or emerges or perhaps the decayed things get buried and so on?)….
There are collective markers of imagination, then the ancestral, then the traditional, then the social, then the more familial then the more specific. This plays out in the geometrical plan, section, layout and a general territory that may extend to any unlimited dimension of space in any direction. Therefore, what is “seen” is calling of all such forces into the visible spectrum of movement and scale and proportions.
There is a great learning here – one of a continuity in several realms of existence. Is it abstract (i.e. imagined but not real?) I think, is the question even valid at all?! To label it as a human construct also betrays a fundamental need or action of a human being – to create a place, here.
Hari Om.
श्री: प्रवास
श्री,
Shree: symbol
Any object, situation, phenomenon, person is a symbol or a representation or an expression of a force of existence. The existence of anything depends on or is based on consciousness. Hence something will come to existence and then dissolve – as a behavior of vibrations, which also get formed in consciousness. So all changes, movements are coming from Divine forces. These forces will remain, in the sense that they were always becoming or getting created in consciousness. Forces mean connections or eruptions or relations of dependence. It has to be kept at a very generic level of explanation since beyond that it becomes typical of one’s life. The point is that consciousness is flowing with billions of potentials to connect, and lead to a form of expression. We will be doing ourselves a whole lot of disservice if we choose to ignore this reality of becoming.
At times I don’t understand what is there “not to trust”?! the mind can play any game and form any set of rules and systems to generate a momentum and some stupid idea of evaluation. It chooses to do so precisely because of its own nature of considering itself separated from consciousness and this separation has no end, no satisfaction and is a drag on itself if it wants to evolve. Mind is a tool created by God, so let us respect that undertaking. It is not a tool meant to work independently exerting its own existence! I may be intelligent, but that does not necessarily make me mature or conscious of presence of God. This is a problem, because I do not know what I am losing out in this imagination. Tools will always be changing and have a sense of incompleteness – that does not mean they need to “get fixed”. Non fixation and becoming are the two principles of manifestation, so why expect manifestation to give a permanent sense of security and try to fix a changing reality? This dilemma and the subsequent search/ struggle reveals consciousness.

Shree: Public
In our college, no one seems to
discuss anything when one works “at his/her desk”. The personal space actually
was meant to be an extension of the public space but NOT compartmentalized or
kept disconnected from the public space such as disconnected from corridirs,
terraces, stairs, studios, walkways and so on. Anyway that is how it is.
However some of the more fruitful
converations happened when I was walking on the stairs or standing on the
corridor and a chance conversation with a fellow faculty member was struck on
topics ranging from relations, challenges in life, old age homes, competitions,
students’ attitudes and so on. This means that these concerns probably get
voiced out in public spaces or where no one seems to be pressurized about
evaluations or judgments!
And then I realized that because
the purpose is so much concentrated in private areas that the public dimension
is rendered “purposeless”; then it is also “possible” to view this purposeless
space as something where “anything is allowed to take place without any
judgment or evaluation!”.
Rather than shunning public
spaces, it may be quite possible to be in a public space and just do
anything - it may be the greatest
flexible space one has inherited, who knows?!
This philosophically means, that
any space or activity where the feeling of evaluation is not present
essentially takes on a public/ universal dimension!

Issues come to the self in a
unique way and that is ok – one will be prompted to take action. Action is
inevitable, it can’t be avoided at any cost. Action or becoming or taking a
form is the nature of Being and hence by taking a form, differentiation,
connection, movement, change will occur. And in this creation, perception will
take place and the forces will inform the manner of our thoughts and those
thoughts will materialize into something.
This is a behavior, but this
induces a profound sense of compulsion of feelings and action. Reminding
oneself about the process may assist to tame this impact on our mind. One need
not feel guilty about this happening neither should one expect anything from
this happening (as if that it should go away). Inheritance will happen and
hence we are here – else we would be something else (some other form of
becoming). All is by God – including who I am, what I feel, what I do, what am
I and so on. and this I makes me see other “forms” as bodies having some
thoughts and feelings and some awareness of existence. Thoughts are not a point
(as an object) and neither they have an origin or an end as a process. This
means that objects are created by the state of thoughts and that also mean a
particular process of coming from consciousness to forces to body. If this gets
altered to subtle states, then the cycle or the pattern of thoughts would
change and so would be the self imposed demands about “I”.
What is created in any way, comes
back to you in other form - meaning what
is created by the vibrations attracts some other vibrations implying some
situations or people or circumstances. Vibrations are extremely subtle and may
generate billions of form and hence the form is not the truth – but the
vibrations behind the form are something much more fundamental to understand.
All is by God – so all things will
change (and they should). Thinking in causal terms is an extremely limited way
of perceiving reality. Be inspired as a fundamental being. Then the relations
won’t be causal (or limited to ego) but far more profound. The purpose of
making causal connections should not come from ego (justification, defense,
competition, argument etc.) but only of discovering.
Be patient.

Only God’s existence and its
various states exist. In its various states, separation and connections occur
and memory happens and hence the awareness of pure absolute Oneness
is”forgotten” or “concealed” by other kinds of created experiences. The changes
that are felt, relations, connections, transformations, evolutions and
movements of coming (forming and changing) and going (dissolving) are eternal
and are referred as “vibrations” in consciousness. Not a single particle of
phenomenon is absolute (hence created) and this process of creations happens
eternally. Whatever we think, feel, do, connect, act, perceive, project, plan,
express keeps happening forever, as if it is inevitable and will continue to
happen.
Whatever situations, people,
incidences, thoughts one encounters, are “continuously created” and whatever
one has inherited and one is becoming is also inherited as momentum. Some are
toddlers, some become young, some come of age and some become old and finally
dissolve – reappearing again in a cycle of creation. The struggle, so to perceive,
is created by memory – sense of self and its relation with consciousness. This
is also a part of human evolution, so it cannot be skipped at all. The pain is
inevitable but there is the strength of choice to decode the pain. Choice is
our strength, a fundamental one.
Hari Om.

In the craze of micro control of everything,
technology ends up controlling internal vibrations and that becomes
suffocating. When technology fails or there is a glitch, the space or vacuum so
felt may become unbearable to experience and all pent up forces may get
released at supersonic speed. This is the irony that modernity gives us –
absolute control leads to uncontrollable urges waiting to be released out
whenever they get a chance. This is dangerous.
“tempering of the mind” is
required, but the way to do so is not by external control but by inner
realization. For this, none of the changes, diversity or challenges ought to be
neutralized or even suppressed or squashed – they are the learning blocks of
tempering the mind and making it steady. Unpleasant experiences will force one
to think and act in proper ways. If unpleasant experiences are removed, as is
the effort undertaken by some developed nations, then we are headed for an
extremely weakened society!

Expression of the self does not mean to articulate in terms of thoughts. Thought is a phenomenon created by God, it is not something that you undertake measurement of production! Thought is not something that will assure satisfaction through measurement and evaluation! If this is known, then thoughts are “allowed” to connect, be created and shared and evolve into some form and the route to assess the inner state is also felt.
In today’s times generally people think that expression of thoughts is important part of defining who one is or what one is. But this cycle does not conclude in satisfaction because there is an expectation of a constant flow of articulation to happen and justification to happen and evaluation to take place. This is a huge burden and hence even if there are no thoughts, there need not be any worry to produce them. Thoughts generally mean engagement and if they become continuous then one’s mind is never “at rest/ peace”. This is a problem of our times.
Now what should generate peace? Let things be as they are and let the inner world of non communication and non articulation be as it is. To force everything int thoughts is extremely burdensome and so there will be many, many things beyond thoughts (or which form thoughts) and our perception itself may get informed by many things beyond the domain of thoughts – deep feelings as an example.
Life is mysterious because it is essentially beyond the knowledge measured by thoughts. True knowledge is truth – an existence of Being that “creates” us (or a mind) and hence to become calm is to become that knowledge. We may not be able to say many things of existence but all of that is entirely ok and natural. Whoever said that things (all of them) need to be expressed in clear terms is plainly mistaken. Let there be room for space.

Mind operates at some levels:
(interpreted from The Search for a Form…By
Eliel Saarinen)
Subconsciously mind can only
directly feel the flow of creation happening from internal world to external
world and it knows that the internal world informs external world. The external
world “therefore” becomes an “extension” of the internal world. We think that
the “form” of external world is different, BUT such an operating subconscious
mind does not consider external world separated (or as a separate form) from
internal world – both are so intimately tied. When any object is seen, or an
activity done, it is done with the inherent intent of internal world’s
behavior. For such attitude, the external world cannot exist independently of
the internal world’s existence. Tribal architecture, primitive or indigenous
architecture talks of such expressions. I think that the issues that we face and
articulate have no place in this mode of “thinking” - indeed the word “thinking” takes on a
dimension spanning inner and outer worlds and hence may have all components
from myth, traditions, ancestors, spirits, social relations, humans, other life
forms, environment, spirits, to livelihood. That is what “makes” something
tangible for them – be it an element or a façade or a space or a movement
between or through spaces.
In conscious working of the mind,
it is aware of this relation and perhaps starts to refine this relation wherein
principles of aesthetics seem to get contemplated, discussed, debated and
expressed. Herein the emphasis is on refinement of the Invisible Order and
whatever it takes to do it – ought to be done. The emphasis continues on shared
world views or shared values yet a kind of sophistication, hierarchy also seems
to govern this process. Medieval cities or pre modern architecture was said to
express this attitude towards architecture.
In self conscious workings of the
mind, the mind does action for the sake of doing action! The burden of
“external expression at whatever cost and articulation” is higher than the
voice of inner world (which is independent of any conditions). The level of
sophistication is extremely high to the point of total disconnect with the
inner world of thoughts and feelings. The issue of complexity, style, critique,
verbosity, power, social constructs and so on are used as tools for
understanding the creative process. Space and form may get to much verbalized at the cost o getting
divorced from contextual understanding of the place. Commercial interests may
take a higher preference than social preferences or even sacred preferences. We
may find environment getting plundered for satisfying self interests and the
rate of change and the intensity or the scope of action may leave a very large
‘carbon footprint’.
As the mind moves from one form
of working to another, it finds the other form quite alien or hard to
comprehend – yet in reality it is the same mind that has operated in the three
levels. Today at times, we find ourselves moving from subconscious working to
self conscious working (linear progression – if that is the idea of origin) or
we may also find all three forms of mind working in our contemporary world.
A difficult question is - it is not a choice of the three ways of
working that is to be ‘selected’ for obtaining ‘best/ favorable results!’ – since
choice and selection are also seen from self conscious perspectives, so can become
short sighted. Then perhaps it is about discovering or unfolding.
Hari Om.
Shree: falling for the bait!
I don’t think so that the ego can
be safeguarded – it cannot, as it is formed by conditions set by vibrations.
Although vibrations and its effects on form can be described as a “process” of
transformation of Being into a phenomenon, it is all about awareness and hence
“creates engagement or attachment” along the way. Therefore there is a feel of
being separate from the rest and to maintain that position at whatever cost of
change or dependence one becomes aware off. If one sees at it (perhaps when one
is in a different somber mood), what is happening is only some kind of
“imagination”.
So imagination is a process of
existence – some action and some memory and some awareness and some experience
will get created along the way. The cause is not ‘me’ however, (or the
constructed me) but the absolute Truth. Hence pressures, changes, demands of
any kind are to be taken in the spirit of existence and not in absolute terms
of “to do it whatever it takes”.
There will be times when I will
feel the urge to talk of disconnect happening in our lives at psychological, environmental,
systems, technology, imagination, progress, speed, pace of change and
everything that crteates this feel. A simple
instruction like “turn off the lights and fans and water when not in use” talks
of our disconnect with public space, public resources, public experience and no
one really bothers to change unless there an economic pinch attached to
defaulting action.
We don’t speak the Truth, we don’t
feel like sharing, we completely ignore any trash thrown out in public space,
we only consume for our progress and so on. This feeling can be scaled up to
any extent and some societies openly endorse this tendency with severe effects
on the environment. And the whole world is falling for that bait!
Hari Om.
श्री,
श्री,
श्री,
Shree,
Information means relation,
connections, context, change, causal events, space and time. Nothing gets
created or explained outside this language. But language is a tool to explain
the process – to become the process, some greater awareness is required about
the forces that generate creativity or a phenomenon. And that awareness takes
one beyond the behavior of the mind and the language. This is the motto of
philosophy – to become the Truth. All else is but a shadow of the Truth (or the
Potential of the Truth or vibration or the process of becoming or creation).
Every transformation in the
states produces a “sense of perception and a construct of engagement/
belonging/ clinging/ ego/ self”. The process of happening creates memory,
awareness and belonging. This means that awareness of existence has to
transcend memory or any process of identification.
I am what I am. Unless the book
of creation does not unfold for me, what is the point to cling to the props
that life gives? However it is a process
that requires trust and full acceptance without any complaints. The existential
force itself has this awareness to evolve and transcend – the path for which can
be anything but easy. Why should this journey be undertaken? For trust.
Hari Om.
Shree: Today’s predicament
There were many exchanges of
concerns voiced by faculty members today. Themes that emerge from these are:
The young generation is bombarded
by tremendous speed of information explosion with their continuous reliance on
online media. This seems to have generated a way of perceiving things – short,
unfocussed, wavering, simultaneous, unanchored and so on. Some of the
repercussions seem to reflect onto:
Long term commitments. Any long
term experience and commitment involves self analysis, introspection, contextual
study and practice and loads of work. With time, one condenses the essentials,
starts to connect with all phenomena and becomes more efficient. There seems to
be a favorable proportion of inputs to analysis to output. If the number of
inputs far exceeds this relation, then the belief in sustenance, long term
commitments, practice, concentration, analysis seems to wither
away. All relationships to work, to family to partners to climate to culture to
memory to feelings etc display this requirement of meaningful and long lasting
engagement. The biggest calamity is the construct of “self” that relies on
inputs, condensation, abstraction, comparisons, practice or application,
learning for it to evolve or expand. Marriage, career, education, health,
family, rearing kids, sports, hobby, passion – all are long term experiences.
Life itself is “long term” – always bound to change and evolve etc. The meaning
of life is ever evolving process. In the newest environment of constant change
and accelerated pace of change, how will meaning be formed? If one wishes to
have an anchored experience, then how should a current environment offer this –
or are we headed for anxiety, stress, fear, stubbornness, distortion,
fragmentation, fatigue, anger, resignation? Currently students or youngsters
are fearful of career, or getting married or having kids, or even trying
anything. And we too make a mistake of brushing their concerns but I think ‘we’
(35 to 55) age group are placed in a unique position to understand the
youngster's fears and also the values that we have inherited from our parents.
We are required to traverse a changing terrain and only we can do it, since we
know at least three kinds of worldviews (and the generated experiences because of
the worldviews) – those of our parents, us and the youngsters.
Most people fail to comprehend
that as signals become subtle and penetrate within, they inform perceptions at
a much intimate level and to access those and work with those requires patience
and practice and constant engagement. Philosophically we have already
penetrated signals of forms, which have made us perceive differences. If ever
we are required to work on “going beyond”, then we will be required to work
within ourselves and see to it what are we generating and why? Hence life and
all the good things require loads of engagement and practice – at a deep level.
Another phenomenon that came to
the forefront was the idea of “presence”. I “feel” climate through trees, air,
sun, temperature, seasons, skin, clothes, activity patterns, body responses,
smells, taste, colours and some other things. These integrate to make me say
something about the role of climate as a phenomenon. But for this, all the years
of observing, upbringing, sharing, seeing, acting, eating, drinking, smelling,
participating, would have condensed or shaped the imagination of climate – and automatically
without my complete knowledge. Thus the understanding of climate required such
a time space and changing patterns to be digested or perceived by me. If this
exposure to time and space and observation is short circuited, what becomes of
the perception of climate, in that case?! This short circuiting is a big issue
with youngsters and that defines their way of relating to “things” or “phenomena”
around them. Are they responsible for this or should we also not take the
responsibility to understand what is happening in their world of perception?
Philosophically, there is always a “presence” of something. It is we who
generate a presence. What sort of presence do you wish to generate? What did
real space-time presence mean over virtual space-time presence? This is not a
play of words, but is far more intimate question to be decoded. What is real
and what is virtual and so on? Are there also other states of imagination? What
are the role of those states in our lives?
Floating: Too much information
packed into a single moment is going to knock you off – you will try to resist
it, or ignore it, or play numb or be apathetic or be careless or be aggressive
to hear your own voice. This is the resistance the mind is generating in the
current environment. It will evolve to protect itself against information
overload. Cramming information in academic institutions will not at all work
henceforth. And presenting “life as a series of information” is certainly going
to put anyone off. We better be aware of this nonsensical habit of stashing
information. Hence I don’t want to hear what a moment means – it can mean
anything! Let it unfold, as is meant philosophically. Are we giving change to
life to unfold to them?
Hari Om.

Pain is inevitable. It is a
unique human experience that is destined for us to evolve into something
better. If I would define what is pain or it results from which components then
I will name three – position, perception and existence and all of the three
work at the same time.
I am made of creation from
vibrations to forces to forms – this causes certain perception to be generated
– of change, connections, relations, particular, universal, vibrations and so
on. The perception is highly malleable across time and space and hence can be
made to act so as to transform.
Because I have come here, there
are billion issues that seem incomplete, temporary and conditional to attaining
peace. Those issues may be about circumstances, people, space, time, rate of
change, inner world of vibrations, confusion, dilemma, struggle and so on. That
starts to define a position, which again is relative, conditional or
situational or contextual and is a part of the creative process. Beyond a
certain point, things happen, evolve, change, erupt and the inquiry then begins
– what is it that we seek?
As a human existence, above is
what has been inherited by us. It has been given for reasons which are quite
mysterious to be known. There is only a movement to be encountered – that of
change, pace, relations, perception.
Only a movement handed over to us
to decode.

Shree: Geometry of Life
In school we learnt something of
Eucledean geometry of triangles and other objects and their relations and
properties.
Over the period of time, one can
say that ALL LIFE happens in geometry. At least architecturally, geometry means
relations of things, of people, of inner and outer world, of movement, of
materials, of processes, of imagination, of scale and proportions, of feelings,
of connections. That makes geometry “alive”. The existential situation is brought
to a “form” by the language of geometry.
Students are required to realize
that “form” has a purpose, relation, interchange, porosity, texture, character,
impact, feeling and comes from the depth of our soul. It is not just out there!
It is created/ invented/ given birth. And the fundamental guidance for giving
birth is the “love” of connections that one wants to establish among the
diversity or complexity that one perceives. Herein “Love” is a feeling of
Creation and is beyond a human level of feeling.

Shree
Analysis is unending. But it is
required only to understand the vastness of any phenomenon – may be loneliness
or any other concept. What one feels may have some relation with the society,
social conditions, historical attitudes, aspirations and one’s tendencies. In
the craze for production and individuality, there is hardly any common
experience that can be shared – hence all experiences become disconnected with
the larger perception of existence and that makes the individual experiences
also meaningless! This means that an anchored sense of identity should be
informed by universal shared experiences and the individual forms. The
individual can only exist meaningfully as a function of the whole (in relation
to or in comparison with). Therefore one of our thoughts will always be about
doubts, struggles, dilemmas, reviews, recall, retrospection, introspection,
contemplation and so on. This is required, since it is a sign of relation with
the universal cosmos and the more such awareness is; more is the struggle that
one is required to face. I am not sure about the idea of inheritance and how
and why am I made in this manner and how I will go ahead and what befalls – I
am not sure of anything. I only know that I exist, or there is ‘I’ that has
come in this world with some relations, conditions, change and perception
baggage and aspirations. This will cause some movement of imagination
(movement of place and time) and this movement is not just physical but mental
(mindscape movement). Since the mindscape moves or changes, a change in space
and time is felt.
Therefore what is encountered and
seen and watched is the movement. This cant be stopped. It exists – movement
exists, so there are vibrations that exist, they come together and rise up to
thoughts and they make us perceive forms and then they dissolve or change. This
change happens and is in not in ‘the form’s’ control. Change happens and is an
eternal process like that of Being’s existence. the Being’s presence causes
vibrations and change to occur depending on our relationship (imagination) with
the Being.
All forms know an impending death
and the incompleteness they have. How can this be fulfilled? Material abundance
is no guarantee of peace - neither is
anything of manifestation. What comes, becomes, manifests is going to go one
day and will get dissolved and broken into a formless character. The form is as
much important as is the formless nature of things. But forming and dissolving is
the nature of existence which should be engaged with – or engagement for the
same is required. Hence the sorting of our thoughts and remembrance of the
nature of existence is required.
As I look back, then there need
not be any evaluation in terms of the decisions and situations that have been
encountered so far and what has led to what – we should outgrow this cycle of
perceiving, adding meaning, responding and so on. Be at peace, for there is no
such thing as this or that or here or there or small or big or correct or
incorrect or fast or slow or one or many.
A place (and we all know where
that is) can represent an extreme concept of individualism, production,
competition, pace, fragmentation,
isolation, sophistication and so on. Personally it is difficult for me
to encounter such an environment for it seems to disintegrate the essence of
what I cherish. But again, there is no right or wrong here – it is a matter of
preference.
There is also a place where a
high premium on sharing, asking, discussing, organic planning, feelings, cyclic
patterns, slowness, relationship, acriticalness is expressed. But individual
voices may get squashed or have no place in this environment. Again, it all
depends on the temperament of the person to like or dislike such a place.
I chose to give two examples to
suggest that things will always be incomplete and we will always ask for
something more/ different. We will insist in balancing things out, but the
balance can’t be an intellectual pursuit. Balance is realized in any situation
and a given situation does not guarantee inner balance.
We only have one guarantee – that
of Existence and not of manifestation. So have a reality check on this.
